BASSETTI and BATTELLE agreement

Grenoble, FRANCE – May 4, 2020 — The Bassetti Group announces that it has signed an agreement with the Battelle Memorial Institute to provide the Metallic Materials Properties Development and Standardization (MMPDS) Database as a reference data set in its TEEXMA for Materials solution.

As part of Bassetti’s continual expansion plans (expand products, expand capabilities, and expand presence), it continues to build relationships with various world-class data providers around the globe. With MMPDS being the primary source of statistically-based, design allowable properties for metallic materials and joints used by the commercial and military aerospace industries across the world, this greatly enhances Bassetti’s value-add to its current, and future, aerospace clients.

Bassetti’s TEEXMA for Materials is the only end-to-end solution supporting the leveraging of all material knowledge and expertise, not just data and documents. By linking reference data (ex. MMPDS), in-house data, knowledge and expertise, TEEXMA for Materials provides full traceability while supporting materials related projects (ex. Characterization and DfX), improved selection, optimization and decision making, integration with Product Development, support for environmental compliance, and enabling the creation of Centers of Excellence/Communities of Practice all within a common user-friendly interface.

Originally published in 1937 by the US Military as the Army Navy Commerce Handbook 5 (ANC-5), it has continued to expand and evolve into the only database recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), all Department of Defense (DoD) organizations and agencies, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as the preeminent source of limitations for various government certifications. MMPDS is vital to both the military and civil aerospace industry with over 30 companies from 8 countries providing funding and support.

Bassetti, founded in Grenoble, France in 1992 to help companies manage their technical expertise, has continued to expand globally across Europe, Asia, and North America. Bassetti now offers one technology with multiple solutions in the areas of technical expertise, risk, and knowledge management to over 400 companies and 125,000 users in various industries around the world.
