Nationwide announces a permanent shift in its workplace strategy to work from home!
Recently one of the largest insurance companies in the US announced that they will be permanently transitioning to a work from home model at its 4 main campuses and most other locations.
This was made possible by forward-thinking investments in various technological capabilities that really paid off when Nationwide had to quickly shift to a work from home model due to the COVID-19 crisis. Investments in collaboration tools, electronic document management, etc. allowed the company to maintain strong customer support and efficient business operations. This was so successful that it caused the company to completely rethink its operational model allowing huge cost savings, improved job satisfaction, and an increase in industry competitiveness. Nationwide is proof that being a large customer-centric provider of goods doesn’t mean that companies can’t be nimble enough to react to situations and take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves.
